Nick’s career in public service began at the Superior Court of Fulton County in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as an Administrative Coordinator in the Family Law Information Center assisting Pro se litigants in cases ranging from divorce to child support. He later served the Superior Court as an aide to the Court’s former Chief Judge.
In 2004, He took a leave of absence from the Court to campaign for the office of Clerk of Superior Court of Cobb County. He campaigned on a platform of “access to information”. Cobb County has a fast-growing population of Hispanic immigrants and it is Nick’s belief that government must seek to diligently serve all its constituents. He ultimately lost the race but vowed to run again in the future.
Born at Northside Hospital, Nick Simpson attended Cobb County Public Schools and graduated from North Cobb High School where he was the school mascot, and was awarded the Principal’s Medallion. He later attended Hampton University where he earned an undergraduate degree in Finance with Departmental Honors.
After serving the Court, Nick attended Columbia University where he earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He is currently a business development consultant for a growing MWBE-designated firm.
